This Costume is inspired by:
Penny Lane from the film Almost Famous

This Limited Edition Set Consists of Ten Pieces:

A Camisole:
The camisole top is very delicate. It begins with an outer layer of silk organza in ivory which
I machine embroidered with different designs turning the sheer fabric into a one of a kind
lace. The under layer is made of silk charmeuse. Tiny ivory ribbon as straps and the back
closes with two silver hooks and eyes. The camisole shows off the midriff. No undergarments
are worn under the camisole. This is, after all, 1973.

Panties:
The panties are made of red cotton knit printed with stars. The hems are finished with white
lace, and the center front has a tiny white bow. One silver snap closes the panties in back.

Velvet Trousers:
The trousers are made of silk velvet which I hand dyed to the color you see now. The cut is
fitted to the hips and waist, and boot cut on the legs. The trousers close in front with two
silver snaps. There are faux pockets up front, and real pockets in back. The trousers are
unlined.

Platform Wedge Sandals:
The shoes are entirely hand made. Because of this, no two shoes will look the same, please
allow for this. The platform wedge sandals are made of hand sculpted clay heel, which is
then hand painted and detailed. The innersoles are brown leather, and the uppers are brown
leather as well, cut in an open toe design. An ankle strap of brown ribbon keeps them closed
with a tiny antique brass buckle.

Embroidered Coat with Fur Collar & Cuffs:
The coat is the core piece of this set. Everything about this character revolves around this
coat. It begins with brown pinwale corduroy which I over dyed avocado green Each individual
piece was then hand embroidered with tone on tone thread, creating a subtle effect. The
design is ethnic, influenced by India or Asia incorporating a fan and a sun burst. The coat is
lined with avocado green cotton and trimmed with faux champagne shag fur on the shawl
collar and cuffs. The top of the coat ends at the rear. Two levels of flounces follow, both
embroidered. The flounces end at the back of the knees.

The Accessories:

Necklaces
The necklace is designed to look like two separate necklaces, with the ease of attaching just
one. The shorter necklace is made of very delicate gold filled chain, and the pendant is a
hand sculpted heart bead painted to resemble amber. It is translucent with gold undertones.
The second necklace is longer and continues with the delicate gold filled chain. This necklace
comes together in the center front in a "y" and a drop of gold filled chain is topped off with a
white glass bead. Gold filled & brass findings.

Earrings
Two gold filled head pins represent small gold ball post earrings. Fits dolls that have pierced
ears.

Sunglasses:
The sunglasses are brass findings, hand painted with gold and opalescent purple glaze. The
frame arms are gold filled wire. The sunglasses can be displayed with the tackle box purse,
worn on top of the head, or worn on the face. You just need to adjust the bendable wires to
your own dolls ears and face.
Ring
A tiny hand made faux turquoise "stone" set in "silver", all made of polymer clay! Hand
painted and sealed, attached to sterling silver wire loop underneath. Fits on dolls with
splayed index fingers.

Tackle Box Purse:
The tackle box purse is entirely hand made as well. Began as a simple rectangle frame
skeleton made of baked polymer clay. Then turned into a sealed box, but before I sealed it
off forever, I inserted a little something to give it a "rattle", so when you shake the box it
makes noise! You never know
what kind of stash is in there with this girl. Sculpted polymer
clay layered on top of the skeleton finished off the piece. The handle is not movable. The
final piece was baked, painted and sealed. Brass wire added to resemble latch.

This creation was a Limited Edition of 4.
